Pregame: Merrimack at Vermont (Game 2)
BURLINGTON, Vt. — Merrimack is on the road again this evening to take on Vermont and close out a two-game weekend series here at Gutterson Fieldhouse.
The Warriors won the first game of the series, 4-2, on Friday night.
Merrimack won’t make any changes to the lines. Zachary Borgiel, who came on in relief of Hugo Ollas and stopped all 19 shots he faced over the final two periods, is the projected starter for the Warriors.
Vermont will make a change between the pipes. Oskar Autio, a transfer from Penn State, will get the start. He’s 1-4-1 on the season with a 2.74 GAA and .914 save percentage. Autio stopped 26 shots in last Saturday’s win over Boston College. That was his first action since Jan. 8, when he made 20 saves in a tie against Yale.
