Pregame: Merrimack hosts New Hampshire at Lawler Arena
NORTH ANDOVER — Merrimack continues its four-game homestand tonight as it welcomes New Hampshire to Lawler Arena. The Wildcats are coming off a road split at Michigan State last weekend, while the Warriors opened their Hockey East slate with a convincing win over UMass Lowell last Friday. Both teams enter the matchup with 1–1 records.
The Warriors made just one lineup adjustment from last week — Benny Yurchuk returns to the lineup and will skate alongside Nolan Flamand, who shifts back to center, and Ty Daneault. Merrimack’s defensive pairs remain unchanged, and while the Warriors haven’t announced a starting goaltender, all signs point to Max Lundgren getting the nod between the pipes in this one-game weekend set.
I’ll be on the broadcast tonight, so there won’t be live in-game updates. But Ian and I will have a full postgame breakdown, and I’ll post my game story later this evening once the final horn sounds.
