Pregame: Merrimack hosts Quinnipiac for the first time in 10 years

NORTH ANDOVER — Merrimack opens a two-game homestand tonight against one of the hottest teams in the nation, Quinnipiac.

The Warriors are coming off back-to-back wins over New Hampshire and UMass Lowell, while the Bobcats enter at 4-1-1 after taking five of six points from Maine last weekend.

This marks Quinnipiac’s first visit to North Andover since 2015. The last meeting between the two programs came in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament — a game Quinnipiac won decisively, 5-0.

Merrimack will make just one lineup change tonight. Jack Richard is set to make his Warriors debut after missing all of last season due to injury. Richard last played during the 2023-24 campaign — his freshman season — with Niagara.
