Pregame: Merrimack is on the road to face Boston University
BOSTON — Merrimack is on the road tonight to take on Boston University at Agganis Arena. This is Merrimack’s first trip of the season to BU.
The Warriors added more names to the injured list this week. Michael Emerson and Tyler Young are both out of the lineup. The Warriors will get Michael Citara and Colby Enns back. Once again, Merrimack will dress all its healthy and available players tonight (every scratch is injured).
Max Lundgren is listed on the line chart as the starter. BU head coach Jay Pandolfo said this week that Mathieu Caron will start for the Terriers.
The Warriors will face former teammate Matt Copponi, who transferred to BU last offseason. Copponi had seven points (2g-5a) in 11 games for the Terriers.
“He’s been a good fit,” Pandolfo said. “He’s getting more comfortable. I think that takes time with any transfer. He’s becoming more vocal and I think getting more comfortable now that we’re into the season more. He’s been a really great addition to our lineup.”
