Pregame: Merrimack vs. Vermont

NORTH ANDOVER — Merrimack will close out the regular season against Vermont tonight at Lawler Arena. The Warriors can clinch second place in Hockey East with a win. They’ll also clinch second place if they match (or do better) than Northeastern does tonight against UMass Lowell.

The Warriors can finish second or third, pending tonight’s results. Regardless, it will be the best Hockey East finish in the program's history.

Zachary Borgiel will start in goal for the Warriors. The forward lines remain relatively unchanged. The only move is that Mark Hillier will be inserted back into the lineup alongside Tristan Crozier and Mac Welsher. When he was previously active, Hillier also played the point on one of Merrimack’s power-play units.
