NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack hosts Minnesota State at Lawler Arena on Friday night for the first time since 1982. With Parker Lalonde out with a concussion, the Warriors shuffled their lines, and four freshmen will make their NCAA debuts.
Connor Dale, Mavrick Lachance and Alex Mercier step into the lineup at forward, and Keaton Orrey will dress as the seventh defenseman.
Linards Feldbergs is expected to make his third straight start to open the season.
While the forward lines were mixed and matched, the defensive pairings remain the same, with Orrey added as the extra defenseman.
In another injury update, Cam Kungle was back on the ice in a red no-contact jersey this week, but is still recovering from an offseason injury. There’s no timetable for Lalonde’s return, but coach Scott Borek seemed encouraged by his progress this week.
