Preview: Merrimack and Minnesota State will meet for the first time in 24 years
Merrimack travels to Minnesota State this weekend to face the Mavericks for the first time in 24 years.
These will be Merrimack's first games against a CCHA opponent since the Warriors opened the season at Lake Superior in October 2019.

History: Merrimack leads the all-time series 5-1, but the teams last played over 23 years ago. The last meeting was Jan. 2-3, 2000, in Mankato, and the teams split the series.
The Warriors won the Jan. 2 game 4-1. Anthony Aquino, Stephen Moon, Vincent Clevenger, and Chris Halecki scored the goals. Cris Classen made 40 saves to help the Warriors earn the win.
Minnesota State won the Jan. 3 game 4-3. Nick Cammarata scored for the Warriors, and Aquino scored two goals, bringing his weekend total to three. Tom Welby made 30 saves for the Warriors.
