Merrimack travels to South Bend, Indiana, this weekend to face Notre Dame at Compton Family Ice Arena.
The series is the return trip from last season, when the Irish rallied in the third period to beat the Warriors 5-4 at Lawler Arena.
It’s Merrimack’s first visit to Notre Dame since 2016, when the Irish swept a weekend series.
Notre Dame leads the all-time series 9-5-1, and Merrimack is 0-3-1 all time at Compton Family Ice Arena, with those games dating to 2013.
Merrimack vs. Notre Dame
When: Friday/Saturday
Where: Compton Family Ice Arena
Location: South Bend, Ind.
Watch: Peacock (watch)
— This is an important nonconference weekend for the Warriors, and for Hockey East. Wins over a Big Ten program, especially on the road, would go a long way for Merrimack. They’d also help a league that has struggled in nonconference play to start the season.
