Preview: Warriors head to Vermont to open the second semester

Merrimack looks to post its third win in a row after closing the first semester with back-to-back victories

Merrimack men’s hockey returns from its semester break Monday night, opening the second half of the season on the road at Vermont.

The Warriors head into the matchup with some momentum, having closed out the first semester with back-to-back wins on Dec. 12 and 13 against Yale and Long Island.

Vermont (5–10) went into the break on a more uneven note. The Catamounts stunned BU with a goal in the closing seconds on Dec. 6 at Agganis Arena, but couldn’t carry that spark into their final game before the pause, dropping a decision to Army on Dec. 13.
