Preview: Warriors look to extend winning streak, and seek revenge, against Stonehill

Looking to avenge an opening-day loss in overtime, the Merrimack men’s hockey team travels to Brighton Tuesday night to take on Stonehill at Warrior Ice Arena, the practice facility of the Boston Bruins.

The Warriors swept UConn over the weekend and improved to 3-5-1. Stonehill is 3-7 on the season and is coming off back-to-back losses to Dartmouth (5-2) and Clarkson (6-3). The Skyhawks have additional wins over Lake Superior and St. Lawrence.

A Merrimack win on Tuesday night would give the Warriors their first three-game winning streak since Dec. 29-Jan. 2 of last season, which included wins over Brown, Holy Cross, and Stonehill.
