Recruit Report: Astapovich having a breakout season in Cedar Rapids

Daniel Astapovich is in the middle of a breakout season with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL.
Astapovich, who will turn 20 in March, scored his 15th goal of the season over the weekend and he’s up to 35 points (15g-20a) in 41 games this season. Astapovich, who has been listed as Cedar Rapids’ No. 1 center on recent line charts, is on pace for 53 points (23g-30a) in 62 games.
The Michigan native had 40 points (13g-27a) in 54 games for the Minnesota Wilderness in the NAHL last season.
