Recruit Report: Lundgren stops 35 shots against Sioux City
Max Lundgren put on a show Saturday night for the Des Moines Buccaneers. The future Merrimack goaltender stopped 35 shots, including 16 in the second period, to keep the Buccaneers competitive in what finished as a 0-0 tie (Sioux City won the shootout).
Lundgren was ranked 10th among North American goaltenders in NHL Central Scouting's latest rankings released in preparation for the 2023 NHL Draft.
"He has been a rock for us this season and expect that he will continue to lead us both on and off the ice the remainder of the season,” said Des Moines coach Matt Curley.
