Recruit Report: Nathan King continues to rise the ranks in the BCHL
Merrimack recruit Nathan King continues to rise the ranks in the BCHL.
King is currently sixth among defensemen in the BCHL in scoring, with 31 points (12g-19a) in 41 games. He's tied for second among defensemen in goals. He's fourth in defenseman scoring among players who aren't in their overage year (03s).
Among players committed to the Warriors last season, King's stock has risen the most in 2023-24. He's also filled out (6-foot-2, 193lbs).
The Warriors might not have any openings on defense next season, but if players sign or the Warriors lose guys in the transfer portal, King is an option to accelerate and come in next season.
The Warriors have nine defensemen on the roster, but they've played with eight all season due to Mike Brown's injury. Liam Dennison is a grad student and will graduate, and the Warriors are bringing in Seamus Powell from the USHL.
