Recruit Report: Zocco scores twice against the NTDP
Merrimack recruit Thomas Zocco authored a monster weekend, piling up six points (three goals, three assists) for the Sioux Falls Stampede in a two-game sweep over the U.S. National Development Program.
Zocco kicked things off with a goal and an assist on Friday night, then elevated his game even further on Saturday, striking for two goals and two assists to cap a dominant showing.
The Staten Island product is firmly in breakout territory during his first USHL campaign. He recorded 53 points (19 goals, 34 assists) in 49 games last season with the Coquitlam Express in the BCHL. This year, he’s producing at better than a point-per-game pace in Sioux Falls and is currently tracking toward a 66-point season.
Our full recruit report for the week is below. We’ve removed Justin Graf, who decommitted from the Warriors last week. Graf has not yet announced a new commitment as of this writing.
