Report: Budd Clark will enter the transfer portal
According to Joe Tipton of On3, Merrimack sophomore guard Budd Clark will enter the transfer portal.
Tipton confirmed the news with Clark’s agent, Corey Marcum.
Clark averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.5 rebounds for the Warriors this season.
According to KenPom’s analytics, Clark took 33.7 percent of Merrimack’s shot attempts this season (No. 20 in the country) and factored into 35.7 percent of Merrimack’s possessions (No. 3 in the country). He played 91.7 percent of Merrimack’s total minutes. and he was No. 3 in the country in assist rate (42.6%) and No. 22 nationally in steal percentage (4.5%).
My take
This isn’t a huge surprise. It’s a blow, but it’s not an unexpected one.
