Salmon Arm center Maddux Martin commits to Merrimack
Merrimack received a commitment from 2005-born left-shot forward Maddux Martin on Friday.
Martin, an alternate captain for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL) this season, announced his commitment on his Instagram account.
"I'm super excited to be joining a program like Merrimack," said Martin. "It's something I've been working towards for a long time, and wouldn't have been able to accomplish it without the support from my family, coaches, and teammates. I'm super excited for the future."
TMR projects Martin as a 2025 recruit.
Martin is teammates with fellow Merrimack recruits Cole Cooksey and Cole Longacre. Martin has been centering a line with Cooksey on his left wing.
In 42 games this season, Martin has 30 points (12g-18a). He's also one of the best faceoff players in the BCHL, posting a 62.5 percent winning percentage on his draws while averaging 24 faceoffs per game (15-9 record on average).
