NORTH ANDOVER — It won't count in the standings, but after a disappointing season in 2023-24, the Merrimack men's hockey team was happy to start the new year in the win column.
Merrimack beat Sacred Heart 3-2 in an exhibition game at Lawler Arena. Ty Daneault, Antonio Venuto, and Nick Pierre scored for the Warriors, who will host Stonehill in the regular-season opener on Sunday.
