Takeaways from Merrimack's 4-3 win over Holy Cross: The Warriors find a way, even if it wasn't wire-to-wire
WORCESTER, Mass. — What a rollercoaster.
The Warriors were down, up, down again, and then finished on a high note with a 4-3 win over Holy Cross in overtime Tuesday night at the Hart Center.
After three games in five days, the Warriors now have a well-earned nine days off.
Below are my takeaways from Tuesday's game, including thoughts on:
Merrimack had another slow start and some troubling third-period turnovers, but found a way to get a win.
Zachary Borgiel was outstanding in this game.
The Warriors skill advantage was evident, especially at 5-on-3.
Plus some quick hits on the penalties, a player ready to break out, and more.
