Minnesota State visits Lawler Arena this weekend for the first time since 1982.
Before we get to the matchup, let’s play a quick game. The last time Merrimack hosted Minnesota State:
A gallon of gas cost about $1.30.
A movie ticket cost $2.90.
The median price of a new home was about $69,000.
A new car? Roughly $10,000.
A 30-year mortgage ran about 16%, so at least we’re winning on that one.

The Mavericks are coming off a sweep at the hands of Wisconsin last weekend in Mankato. The Badgers, who played in last season’s national championship game, should be one of the nation’s top teams, and they dominated, outscoring Minnesota State 8-1 and holding it to 31 shots on goal all weekend.
