TMR MBB Awards: Reid named Most Improved, Unsung Hero
Ziggy Reid was named the 2023 TMR Men’s Basketball Unsung Hero and Most Improved Player by readers of The Mack Report.
Reid started all 34 games for the Warriors this past season and led the team in total minutes (1,101). He was second on the team in scoring (14.2 points per game) and rebounds (4.1), and he was the best free-throw shooter on the team (78.3%) among players with at least 50 attempts.
Reid finished this season with a career-high in points per game, blocks, 3-point percentage, free-throw percentage, and minutes.
Last week, Reid announced that he would transfer and do a fifth year at Youngstown State.
The TMR Awards are presented annually by The Mack Report. The awards are voted on by TMR readers/subscribers. The men’s hockey awards have been presented since 2007. The men’s basketball awards were instituted in 2022.
