Two Merrimack recruits listed on watch list by NHL Central Scouting
NHL Central Scouting released its preliminary watch list for the 2025 NHL Draft, and two Merrimack recruits made the list.
Players on the watch list are graded.
A Rating — 1st round candidate
B Rating — 2nd/3rd round candidate
C Rating — 4th/5th round candidate
W Rating — 6th/7th round candidate
C.J. Watroba and David Green were listed as “W” players.
Watroba, 17, committed to Merrimack after his sophomore season at Pope Francis HigH School in Springfield, Mass. He played for Kimball Union Academy last season and had 31 points (15g-16a) in 37 games. Watroba is slated to play his senior season at Kimball Union under former Maine coach Tim Whitehead this upcoming season.
Green, 18, is a 6-foot-2 defenseman in his first USHL season with the Green Bay Gamblers. Last season, Green had 57 points (18g-39a) in 56 games for the St. Michael’s Buzzers (OJHL).
