Warriors drop second game in Cathedral Classic
Hofstra 78, Merrimack 58
The Warriors dropped their second game of The Cathedral Classic on Saturday, falling 78-58 to Hofstra.
The Warriors shot 30.3 percent from three-point range, but struggled inside the arc, shooting just 30.8 percent (8 for 26) from two-point range.
Ernest Shelton and Tye Dorset led the Warriors with 12 points each. Kevair Kennedy scored 10 points for Merrimack.
Hofstra was led by freshman Preston Edmead, who had 22 points.
The Warriors were outrebounded 43-28.
Merrimack finishes its trip to Philadelphia tomorrow with a game against La Salle. Hofstra beat La Salle 63-58 on Friday in its first game of the tournament. They’ll play Penn later today.
