Weekend Preview: Merrimack has a critical home-and-home weekend with Northeastern
If the Warriors are going to make a late-season run, it’s time to go.
Merrimack opens a home-and-home series tonight against Northeastern at Matthews Arena. The series will shift to Lawler Arena on Saturday, where the Warriors will also honor Ron Anderson and Richard Pion on their inductions into the Merrimack Hall of Fame.

The Warriors were swept by Boston College last weekend. The Eagles won a 6-4 game on Friday night (the Warriors blew a 2-0 lead) and BC ran away with a 6-2 win on Sunday after racing out to a 3-0 lead in the first period.
The Huskies only played one game last weekend and lost at home to UMass 2-1. Shots were even in the game (35-35), and UMass broke the tie late in the third period when Nick VanTassell scored his first goal of the season.
