Weekend Preview: Merrimack will spend Thanksgiving in Alabama at the Samford MTE

Merrimack will spend Thanksgiving in Birmingham, Ala. as part of the Samford MTE (multi-team event), a fancy word for a tournament with pre-determined pairings.

The Warriors’ schedule for the MTE includes:

Wednesday: vs. North Carolina A&T (5:30)
Friday: vs. Samford (4:00)
Saturday: vs. Alabama State (1:00)

According to Samford's website, only the game against Samford on Friday will be broadcast (ESPN+). The MTE will be hosted at Samford's Pete Hanna Center, which opened in 2007 and seats almost 5,000 fans.

The Warriors (2-2) are coming off last Wednesday's 76-52 loss at Ohio State.
