Discovered on an MRI after last week's NEC Championship game, Jordan Derkack played the NEC semifinal and final with a fractured foot and two torn ligaments. Derkack told The Eagle Tribune's Bill Burt that the injury will not require surgery. “I didn’t know exactly what the injury was, but I knew it wasn’t good,” said Derkack. “But I had to play for my team and my coaches. They are family to me. Thankfully, I don’t need surgery, just rest.”
