Well not the best start for the Warriors allowing the goal, but I would say that Merrimack has had the better of the play overall. I'm tracking shifts and have the Warriors up 5-2 as far as "won" shifts thus far.
Bentley is winning at Lowell, which should set up an actual champonship game between Merrimack and Lowell.
FINAL: Merrimack beats Army 7-3. Warriors will face Bentley tomorrow. SOG 45-17 Merrimack.
Major confirmed. Army on the PP the rest of the game.
Yeah on replay, that's 5.
O'Brien to the box for MC. From live speed, this looked like a possible 5. 1:19 left.
MERRIMACK GOAL: Mark Gallant makes it 7-3 Warriors. 3:28 to play.
7:51 to play, still 6-3 Warriors.
MERRIMACK GOAL: Warriors make it 6-3. Believe that was Ty Daneault's second of the game (and in his NCAA career)
ARMY GOAL: Black Knights make it a 5-3 game with 19:27 left.
Teams back out for the 3rd. Gavin Abric in goal now for Army.
End of 2: Merrimack leads Army 5-2. SOG 31-11 Merrimack.
MERRIMACK GOAL: SHG goal. Bookman and Hillier alone on a 2-on-0. Tic-tac-toe and Hillier gets the goal. 5-2 Merrimack with 1:35 left in the 2nd.
MERRIMACK GOAL: Warriors score again. 4-2 Merrimack. Four unanswered in the 2nd period for MC.
MERRIMACK GOAL: Warriors lead 3-2. Daneault on the re-direct it looked like.
While I was away chatting with some former Warriors downstairs, Merrimack has tied the game 2-2. 6:57 left in the 2nd.
Strange period. Merrimack had the bulk of the possession but two mistakes end up in the back of their own net.
End of 1: Army leads Merrimack 2-0. Merrimack has an 18-5 edge in SOG.
Merrimack to the PK with 13.7 left in the period.
28-21-18 43-23
20-10-22 19-37
All new units on the PP.
Merrimack to the PP with 3:47 left in the 1st.
Unfortunate bounce for Borgiel. Not on him. Not sure the numbers but it feels like Merrimack is losing most faceoffs.
ARMY GOAL: Army wins a draw and then a shot through gets tipped. 2-0 Black Knights.
We better start to lay the body on these guys.
Media timeout. Overall Merrimack has had more possession but it hasn't resulted in more scoring chances. I'd say those are about even.
Great bid by Ty Daneault. That's a toe-drag-release, as the kids call it.
Well not the best start for the Warriors allowing the goal, but I would say that Merrimack has had the better of the play overall. I'm tracking shifts and have the Warriors up 5-2 as far as "won" shifts thus far.
ARMY GOAL: Warriors have a great chance in their end but give up numbers comng back and lose track of Jake Hewitt in front. 1-0 Black Knights.
Merrimack and Army are underway at Lawler.
