Jefferies will return to Merrimack for senior season
Merrimack winger Alex Jefferies will return to the Warriors for his senior season. Jefferies was a finalist for Hockey East Player of the Year this season and finished with 41 points (14g, 27a) in 38 games.

In addition to Jefferies, wingers Filip Forsmark and Mac Welsher will return for their fifth year of eligibility.
The New York Islanders offered Jefferies an entry-level contract.
The Islanders drafted Jefferies in the 2020 NHL Draft in the fourth round. In 83 career games, Jefferies has 74 points (28g, 46a).
Forsmark has appeared in 88 games over three seasons and has 56 points (21g, 35a). Welsher matched a career-high with 12 points (7g, 5a) last season. He has appeared in 108 games for the Warriors.
