Merrimack recruit Justin Graf is off to a torrid start in his rookie season in the USHL. The 18-year-old has 11 points in 11 games, including six goals. He’s already getting power-play time with the Cedar Rapids Roughriders in the USHL.
Graf seems to be following a similar development path as his brother, current San Jose Sharks forward Collin Graf, who was a “late bloomer” when he committed to Quinnipiac and was the hottest undrafted free agent in college hockey two years ago. The younger Graf still has NHL Draft eligibility.
Below is this week’s full statistical Recruit Report, but here are some things to remember about this chart:
Age: This is determined by the “season age.” If a player is born in 2008, this is his “Age 17 season,” and so on. Players who are in their Age 20 season will expire their junior hockey eligibility at the end of the current season.
Leagues: This chart is sorted by league level and by points/GP. It’s sorted this way to give you the best comparable data. Tier I Juniors includes the WHL, OHL, QMJHL, and USHL. Tier II/Jr. A includes the NAHL and BCHL. If a player has changed teams/leagues, the most current team/league is listed at the top with the previous team/league underneath.
